As I’ve continued to up my workout game this winter, I’ve found a line of gear that works well for me both in the gym and on the field. This is my second season wearing gear from Nike’s Oregon Project but first rocking the Nike Flyknit Racer on my feet and traditional running shorts.
August Alsina has emerged as one of the this decade’s hot young artists. From hits with megastars Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown to solo success of his own, Alsina is pushing the envelope with his sound. His latest album, “Drugz,” is on the way and he’s already released multiple singles off of it.
Alsina has a smash in the making with “Wait.” This smooth track is him at his best and should chart nationwide by the latter part of the winter.
Both “Drugs” and “Lonely” are quality songs with Lonely coming in second on my rotation of the three. The track loops a legendary sample of “If You Think You’re Lonely Now” from Bobby Womack.

I wrote about suits in the fall as a staple of my closet. The wrinkle this season is the mock turtleneck underneath as opposed to a traditional button up shirt. I’ve never been a huge fan of the turtleneck in my personal ensemble but I saw Future pull it off earlier in the season. The response to the “less is more” approach was well received so look forward it again from me.

Kanye West has had his fair share of ups and downs both personally and professionally over the past 18 months. A definite high point has been the continued success of his adidas Yeezy shoe collection.
I’ve copped the majority of the Boost 350 releases. I told my homegirl, Kianna Holland, in a conversation this weekend that I was late on the first set of 750’s and have been upset ever since. She immediately went searching and copped authentic versions of the hard to find Turtle Dove and Black 350’s that dropped in the First Version.
Even with the high volume of fake Yeezy’s available in the marketplace, the shoe has held value well since this time last year. In that way, it’s paralleled only by the rare vintage Jordan releases (i.e. Concord 11’s) in recent memory.

Victoriaโs Secretโs decision to discontinue their swimwear collection has left many girls at a loss as to wear they should buy their bathing suits for the upcoming summer. I know for myself personally, I was freaking out. I get majority of my bathing suits from Victoriaโs Secret. However, this season I will get a lot of my bathing suits from Pacsun and Urban Outfitters. Bathing suits from Pacsun and Urban Outfitters can be a little pricey, but nothing more than anyone would have paid at Victoriaโs Secret. I really love the trendy style that Pacsun and Urban Outfitters bathing suits have. They are so cute. Additionally, I will not count Target out. Their bathing suits are not only cute, but also affordable. All in all, just because my favorite place to buy bathing suits is not selling them anymore, I have found some strong alternates to keep my look cute for the Summer.

Neither Fabolous nor Trey Songz are strangers to the mixtape circuit. Collectively they have over a dozen album length mixtapes in their catalogs and have used those to elevate themselves to the A-List of their respective genres. Their “Trappy New Years” release was still a welcome surprise to kick off 2017.
Fab and Trey teamed up for a quick 6-song tape covering some of the hottest songs from the fourth quarter in rap. It’s no surprise that Drake, Future and Migos are amongst the artists on here. As always, Fab brought his AGame with the verses. It helped publicity that Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants were seen in Miami with Trey Songz on the same water that Trey and Fab later shot the “Keys To The Streets” Remix on.

Tory Lanez jumped out to a huge 2015 with the smash “Say It.” Since then, Lanez has been featured on multiple hit singles and dropped both an album as well as multiple mixtapes. This latest output, Chixtape 4, is filled with remixed samples of classic RnB hits. The emerging artist of the “New Toronto” continues to serve his faithful with that hot fire adding to his portfolio of music by the day.
The assist for this one goes to longtime Tory supporter, Keil Moore. I’m with him on this one. Young Lanez is definitely in his bag. Take a listen below:

This winter, I wanted to add some different types of color into my wardrobe. I started with solids and this frost blue color way was a no brainer for me. The contrast of the varying spots and color patches in the Embellish biker jeans with the solids in the Kith hoodie and Timberland ‘6 classic boots gave it the pop I was looking for.

All my friends know Iโm a huge advocate of the flannel look because of the way I can sport it in various ways. Even when I throw it around my waist while me and @Steffip5 are adventuring around the city. Luckily for me @larrywrhinehart was able to snap some pics!

I was able to get the Jersey from Zumiez awhile back for the low. I threw a Liberty Hoodie underneath (shoutout my girl Steph Patton) to make it a winter look and it worked out in a combo with my PacSun ripped jeans.
Neff Pinstripe Baseball Jersey: Zumiez $50
Liberty University Logo Hoodie: School Store $70
Skinny Ripped Black Stretch Jeans: PacSun $55
