#PhotoshootFresh: #AnyGymIsHome – “S/S ’18 x Brandon Clay” Collection Release – April 24, 2018

With the fashion world and the sports world continuing to blur the lines where one ends and the other begins on a daily basis, the timing was perfect for us to launch our Spring – Summer 2018 Collection this past weekend. Special thanks is in order to both Geoff Lampe and Jay Kohr for their help on the design and production end of the line. Andraya Carter, Jordan Davis and Bree Locke all assisted with the visual capture of the line while Alli and Zoey Lhamon helped serve as the ordering assistants.

#PhotoshootFresh: #AnyGymIsHome – “S/S ’18 x Brandon Clay” Collection Preview – April 3, 2018

Each year, my goal is to incorporate the changes in the world of fashion into the upcoming season’s release of the #AnyGymIsHome apparel line. Some seasons, it’s a focused redesign on the logo while for others, my attention is focused more on providing innovative colors for the consumer. This season, it’s both. With the fashion world and the sports world continuing to blur the lines where one ends and the other begins on a daily basis, the timing is perfect for us to launch our Spring – Summer 2018 Collection. Special thanks is in order to both Geoff Lampe and Jay Kohr for their help on the design and production end of the line.

THE BREAKDOWN:

This season will feature our signature t-shirt and hoodie selection in four color ways. Two of the color ways are inspired by Pharrell Williams latest NMD release while the other two are influenced by Nike’s Air Vapormax release at the tail end of 2017.

The full “S/S ’18 X Brandon Clay” launch will be available at PeachStateBasketball.com events nationwide starting April 20th weekend.

We’ll add at least three if not four additional color ways for the summer season that will be available for purchase in early June.

#PhotoshootFresh: Alexa Middleton Originals – March 17, 2018

The Iowa State inspired Nike Air Force Ones pictured above are my favorite ones that Alexa Middleton has dropped on the culture so far. The talented Cyclone basketball player also has a real knack for the art of customizing sneakers. Her work seems to improve with each project that she post on her LexOriginals Instagram account.

THE BREAKDOWN:

As Middleton prepares for her final college season, it’s evident that she’s got a gift that can keep her around the sneaker industry long after she hangs hers up.

One of my favorites I’ve done so far. Sometimes you have to mix your own colors!

#PhotoshootFresh: Jon Ruiz Customs – March 17, 2018

Custom sneakers are as popular as they’ve ever been. The artist takes a base sneaker and adds a unique design to make the shoe specific to the buyer’s requests. Hailing from New York, Jon Ruiz is one of the game’s emerging faces. He’s got almost 6,000 followers on Instagram and his work has been featured on various IG feeds including Hypebeast.

THE BREAKDOWN:

Ruiz represents the new school of business owners. He’s found a unique nichè market and is running full steam to the top of the game. Ruiz’s dedication to his craft and willingness to provide first-class customer service make doing business with him an easy decision. I’ve purchased 10 custom designs to date from his collection.

#FreshStyleFits: Supreme x Louis Vuitton Collaboration – August 14, 2017

Supreme and Louis Vuitton announced the launch of a collab back in January. In the meantime, the streets anticipation of the drop led to the release of arguably the hardest collection to get in recent memory. Resell prices reached as much as 10 times the retail list price based largely in part to who was wearing it on social media: 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber and Odell Beckham Jr., amongst others.

By: Brandon Clay @PSBPopCulture

Here’s a look at how people who got their hands on this are rocking it:

My 24 hours in Miami was a breathe of fresh air. I saw a kid wearing a shirt while I was there that made me think. It said: "sell drugs / rap / go to (the) NBA." J. Cole said that on his latest album. My issue is we hear about only being able to succeed in those areas from people who have made it off of rap. To me, those are the Old Rules. My goal in life is to be a living example of the New Rules that with consistent hard work that you can help others, win at life without doing one of those three things and still chase then catch all of your dreams. I do this for the kid coming behind me who has the mentality to be a Fortune 500 mastermind, the world's premier hand surgeon or perhaps a college professor. Don't let people box you in as to what you should or should not aim to become no matter your economic background, gender or race. If I can Level Up, anyone can. Strive for what you believe in, set goals and you can achieve em. {shot by @ktaylorjohnson35, assist to @palmtreejd of @parallels} —————————————— •🎩: @chancetherapper •👕 & 👖: @supreme @louisvuitton ___________________________________________

#FreshStyleFits: “Brandon’s Closet” – June 28, 2017

This summer, I’m using the slim line tank top as a staple of my wardrobe. It provides me with a comfortable fit in the humid Georgia air but with a statement piece of jewelry still gives me a look that is put together with a purpose. Both ASOS and Aesthetic Revolution have longline tanks with curved hems in the front and back that I am rotating between to get the job done.

#FreshStyleFits: “Brandon’s Closet” – Reebok Question’s – Mar. 3, 2017

Allen Iverson is pound-for-pound one of the best guards in NBA history. His partnership with Reebok has spanned more than 20 years producing one of the best selling signature shoes of all time in the Reebok Question’s. Reebok teamed up with the retailer RUVilla to re-release the shoe in an exclusive colorway.

The Breakdown:

I own both the latest RUVilla collab and the original 76ers inspired colorway.

You can buy the RUVilla version here: Iverson “Liberty” ($129)

#FreshStyleFits: “Brandon’s Closet” – Chance The Rapper x New Era – Feb. 16, 2017

Chance The Rapper had a banner 2016 capped off recently by winning multiple Grammy Awards off of a mixtape that was solely produced digitally with no hard copies distributed or sold. Along the way, he introduced his base to what has become his signature Chance 3 baseball cap. New Era teamed up with Chance to deliver four color ways of the product to market to start 2017.

By: Brandon Clay @PSBPopCulture

The Breakdown:

I love both the fit and simplistic design. It’s amazing how the branding has made the No. 3 synonymous with Chance worldwide in a year’s time. There isn’t a place that I go with it on where a Chance fan doesn’t make a comment about liking the cap.

#FreshStyleFits: “Brandon’s Closet” – Nike Running – Feb. 13, 2017

As I’ve continued to up my workout game this winter, I’ve found a line of gear that works well for me both in the gym and on the field. This is my second season wearing gear from Nike’s Oregon Project but first rocking the Nike Flyknit Racer on my feet and traditional running shorts.

#FreshStyleFits: Winter ’16 Style Guide – Suits – “Brandon’s Closet” – Feb. 7, 2017

I wrote about suits in the fall as a staple of my closet. The wrinkle this season is the mock turtleneck underneath as opposed to a traditional button up shirt. I’ve never been a huge fan of the turtleneck in my personal ensemble but I saw Future pull it off earlier in the season. The response to the “less is more” approach was well received so look forward it again from me.
