#FreshStyleFits: “Brandon’s Closet” – June 28, 2017

This summer, I’m using the slim line tank top as a staple of my wardrobe. It provides me with a comfortable fit in the humid Georgia air but with a statement piece of jewelry still gives me a look that is put together with a purpose. Both ASOS and Aesthetic Revolution have longline tanks with curved hems in the front and back that I am rotating between to get the job done.

#FreshStyleFits: β€œBrandon’s Closet” – Reebok Question’s – Mar. 3, 2017

Allen Iverson is pound-for-pound one of the best guards in NBA history. His partnership with Reebok has spanned more than 20 years producing one of the best selling signature shoes of all time in the Reebok Question’s. Reebok teamed up with the retailer RUVilla to re-release the shoe in an exclusive colorway.

The Breakdown:

I own both the latest RUVilla collab and the original 76ers inspired colorway.

You can buy the RUVilla version here: Iverson “Liberty” ($129)

#FreshStyleFits: “Brandon’s Closet” – Chance The Rapper x New Era – Feb. 16, 2017

Chance The Rapper had a banner 2016 capped off recently by winning multiple Grammy Awards off of a mixtape that was solely produced digitally with no hard copies distributed or sold. Along the way, he introduced his base to what has become his signature Chance 3 baseball cap. New Era teamed up with Chance to deliver four color ways of the product to market to start 2017.

By: Brandon Clay @PSBPopCulture

The Breakdown:

I love both the fit and simplistic design. It’s amazing how the branding has made the No. 3 synonymous with Chance worldwide in a year’s time. There isn’t a place that I go with it on where a Chance fan doesn’t make a comment about liking the cap.

#FreshStyleFits: “Brandon’s Closet” – Nike Running – Feb. 13, 2017

As I’ve continued to up my workout game this winter, I’ve found a line of gear that works well for me both in the gym and on the field. This is my second season wearing gear from Nike’s Oregon Project but first rocking the Nike Flyknit Racer on my feet and traditional running shorts.

#FreshStyleFits: Winter ’16 Style Guide – Suits – “Brandon’s Closet” – Feb. 7, 2017

I wrote about suits in the fall as a staple of my closet. The wrinkle this season is the mock turtleneck underneath as opposed to a traditional button up shirt. I’ve never been a huge fan of the turtleneck in my personal ensemble but I saw Future pull it off earlier in the season. The response to the “less is more” approach was well received so look forward it again from me.

#FreshStyleFits: “Brandon’s Closet” – Yeezy Season – Jan. 27, 2017

Kanye West has had his fair share of ups and downs both personally and professionally over the past 18 months. A definite high point has been the continued success of his adidas Yeezy shoe collection.

By: Brandon Clay @PSBPopCulture

The Breakdown

I’ve copped the majority of the Boost 350 releases. I told my homegirl, Kianna Holland, in a conversation this weekend that I was late on the first set of 750’s and have been upset ever since. She immediately went searching and copped authentic versions of the hard to find Turtle Dove and Black 350’s that dropped in the First Version.

Even with the high volume of fake Yeezy’s available in the marketplace, the shoe has held value well since this time last year. In that way, it’s paralleled only by the rare vintage Jordan releases (i.e. Concord 11’s) in recent memory.

Victoria’s Secret’s decision to discontinue their swimwear collection has left many girls at a loss as to wear they should buy their bathing suits for the upcoming summer. I know for myself personally, I was freaking out. I get majority of my bathing suits from Victoria’s Secret. However, this season I will get a lot of my bathing suits from Pacsun and Urban Outfitters. Bathing suits from Pacsun and Urban Outfitters can be a little pricey, but nothing more than anyone would have paid at Victoria’s Secret. I really love the trendy style that Pacsun and Urban Outfitters bathing suits have. They are so cute. Additionally, I will not count Target out. Their bathing suits are not only cute, but also affordable. All in all, just because my favorite place to buy bathing suits is not selling them anymore, I have found some strong alternates to keep my look cute for the Summer.

This winter, I wanted to add some different types of color into my wardrobe. I started with solids and this frost blue color way was a no brainer for me. The contrast of the varying spots and color patches in the Embellish biker jeans with the solids in the Kith hoodie and Timberland ‘6 classic boots gave it the pop I was looking for.

Here’s Where To Find The Clothing Pieces:

Kith Reverse Williams Hoodie: SOLD OUT
Embellish Moto Biker Denim: EmbellishNYC.com ($140)
Timberland “First Frost” Boot: RUVilla ($150)

All my friends know I’m a huge advocate of the flannel look because of the way I can sport it in various ways. Even when I throw it around my waist while me and @Steffip5 are adventuring around the city. Luckily for me @larrywrhinehart was able to snap some pics!
