Between legendary Georgetown guard Allen Iverson and the fictional character, Kyle Watson, in Above The Rim, the Hoyas color way was all the rage in the mid-90’s. In 2015, the Jordan Collection released a mean Hoya-inspired Retro 11 Low. I took that Navy / Grey theme and found a vintage Villa Exclusive Starter jacket to complete the look. With a little help from a Jordan 4 Navy set in my closet, I had the look I wanted.

Toss in the irony of a Young Iverson double crossing Michael Jordan during AI’s rookie campaign in Philly and an Instagram caption (see below) that caught Shane Laflin‘s attention was born.

Here’s Where To Find The Clothing Pieces:

Air Jordan 4 Hat (SOLD OUT)

Air Jordan 4 Hoodie (SOLD OUT)

Georgetown Starter Jacket: RU Villa ($69)

Embellish NYC Biker Jeans: Embellish ($99)

Retro Jordan 11 Georgetown Low: eBay ($225 – $300 new)

During a business trip with my boy Larry Rhinehart to cover Keil Moore‘s Fall Showcase in Philly, I had to sport a little west coast style while still trying to keep warm during a cold November up north. The whole outfit is from one of my favorite stores, Pacsun.

The Breakdown:

Visit Pacsun.com to purchase:

Hat: Neff Daily Beanie $16
Top: Pink Mediator Long Sleeve Relaxed $34
Bottoms: Levi’s 519 Skinny Rock ’N Roll Jeans $70
Shoes: HUF Sutter White Shoes (Palm Tree limited Editions) $90

I wore a pink sweater in Philly and didn't get clowned so I'm doing alright.

#FreshStyleFits: “Alli’s Closet” – Dec. 16, 2016

“Alli’s Closet” is designed to give our readers an in-depth look at the styles directly from my closet and where to pick them up.

I’m wearing a white, long sleeve Metallica shirt. It’s actually my girl friend’s shirt, she got the shirt from H&M. If you’re into cool band t-shirts, check H&M before you go look at Pacsun. H&M typically has some really cool band shirts for about half of the price of Pacsun’s t-shirts. I decided to pair the trendy band t-shirt with a choker necklace that I bought from Icing. It came in a pack of two and was only about $8. I highly recommend Icing if you’re searching for some new chokers to purchase.

My jeans are black jeggings from American Eagle. They have rips in the knees that I cut myself. I lean toward jeggings more so than regular jeans because they are far more comfortable and stretchy.

I’m wearing black low top Converse today. These shoes are pretty much essential to every girl’s shoe collection. They match with most everything and are very comfortable shoes to have on your feet all day.

Here’s Where To Find The Clothing Pieces:

Metallica Tee: H&M – $29

Black Tattoo Choker: Icing – $5

Black Leggings: American Eagle – $26

Converse Chuck Taylor: Nordstrom – $49

This outfit was a fall look for me this year. I loved the color scheme that Louis Vuitton Creative Director Kim Jones brought to the table on this collaborative with NikeLab. I’ve got a variation that I’ll roll out when spring hits so don’t steal this from me just yet.

I never got on a scale when I made the commitment to start working out daily in the spring of 2014. The number didn’t matter to me. What did matter is that I felt sluggish most days, didn’t like the way I looked and my doctor told me I needed to reduce my daily sugar intake. Between candy and soda, I was taking in 600-800 calories a day in sugar alone. So I took action: slowly changed my diet, made working out a priority not something I did if I had time left in the day.

As 2016 winds down, I know since I’ve started working out consistently I’ve dropped multiple pant sizes, am two shirt sizes down from where I started. I don’t have an end goal mainly because I feel like I’m always evolving. I will say that if I of all people can cut back on sugar, soda and even fast food that I’m confident anyone on my TL can too. My friend and co-worker Jarrett Christian says, “Take It Personal.” That’s exactly what I plan to keep doing.

#iTunesSounds: “Push It On Me” – Trey Songz – Dec. 3, 2016

Kevin Hart‘s voice on a local radio station caught me completely off guard during a road trip last month. I had not heard his mixtape before hearing this song. Less than a minute in, it was obvious that Hart had a hit on his hands thanks in large part to RnB superstar Trey Songz. Songz lends his vocals to the track and in the process helped Hart deliver a winter hit. The song is now charting on SiriusXM but with Songz part only playing. The two shot a video for “Push It On Me” that has over 4 million YouTube views to date.

By: Brandon Clay @PSBPopCulture

The Breakdown

Industry insider, Donte’ Grant, says that Songz made the right play to get the song on XM with his part as the main feature. For a guy who hasn’t seen his tremendous fanbase register into mega album sales, this song should give Trey a wave going into 2017. He’s also got a new holiday track out called, “Comin’ Home.”
